Gallery Filler

Added a few new bits of work to my gallery, all WIP from final year at university. We've been given approx. 3 months to produce a complete three minute animated short.

Blogspot link in 'devious information' box links to my blog where there's more info about the project. Likewise, you'll find other information and work from other students at my university.

Figured this mite be a good place to get some feedback and stuff. Hope its enjoyed.

Thanks mate, means a lot! How's everything going in the world of post-university Jodie?
:iconfiredaemon:
well from the amount of time it took for me to reply, I'd say post-university is very busy.
Working full time in video games animation, so that takes up most of my week. It's an awesoem job tho and I enjoy it lots. Not too much time for art, but enough I guess ^^;. Still a lot I'd like to be doing for myself
Weekends usually get spent visiting people, so little time to myself XD

How's Uni? Finished yet? Hope the projects went well. Would be good to see the fibnal project. Looking forward to seeing people over Summer.

Sounds like a really great job, you working more in programming or the animation side of it?

Indeed I've finished now, although final was a bit of a disaster so my film's a mess. I guess thats step one now that i've finished :p When its done then i'll make sure you get to see it. Any advice for someone who's about to start job hunting?

I work solely as an animator. Although it involves some vaguely techy stuff and knowing how things work technically puts me at a rather large advantage, which is a bit awesome for me :3

Don't worry too much about the finished film, you can always fix it up once you've had some rest. I was kinda disappointed with my major project at uni. Nothing to not be proud of, but nowhere near what I should have achieved from it. But it gave me something for the showreel.

What area are you thinking of working in?
For most animatory things your showreel will be your biggest selling point. A couple of minutes of good stuff (quality over quantity) and the best stuff right at the beginning.
Mostly it's keeping an eye out, since it's mostly dependent on projects as to when people are hiring. But be persistent and sell yourself :3
